Srikalahasti the temple of Lord Siva is located in chittur district, Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the most famous temple in India. It is located on the banks of the river Swarnamukhi. Srikalahasti name is originated from a story, that is Lord Siva disguised as Vayu (air) observed that the spider (Sri), cobra (Kala) and Elephant (Hasti) use to worship Lord Siva very devotedly. So this place is called as Srikalahasti..
